I’m the son of immigrant parents and Founder of social enterprise jewellery brand Broken Chain. Broken Chain helps to provide clean drinking water with every piece of jewellery sold, the brand works with charity:water to make this possible. Broken Chain has sold in over 13 countries and has provided 1015 years worth of clean water since its launch in December 2016. 

I started my first business at 15, designing and selling t-shirts to my classmates at school. I used the profit I made from this business to invest into my nightclub promotion company which I founded while studying Business and Management at university In Birmingham. 

I currently work full time as a Senior Business Development Consultant alongside running Broken Chain. 


Q: Describe your work in three words.

Exciting, rewarding and challenging.

Q: What gets you excited to wake up each day?

The chance to help improve peoples lives bit by bit and getting to do what I love.

Q: How do you stay inspired?

I read, A LOT! I churn through Biographies and Autobiographies of successful founders, artists, leaders and anyone else who is interesting. I also watch copious amounts of YouTube videos about founders and their stories, great public speakers and inspirational things to help me to grow each day.

Q:  What has been the most challenging aspect of your work and how do approach it?

Balancing working full time and running Broken Chain, my job is quite demanding and it means I sometimes end up working till the early hours of the morning, which isn’t always good. Honestly, I have had to learn how to delegate well, my team is amazing and they’re so hard working!

Q: What is the highest potential of your work and how do you see it contributing to the world?

My goal for Broken Chain is to provide 1 million people with clean drinking water. I see our tribe changing whole communities all around the world.

Q: How does consciousness play a role in your business?

To be conscious is to be responsive and aware of our surroundings, here at Broken Chain our tribe has joined us in our mission to make the world a little better each day. Being responsive to our surroundings is in our DNA, its part of who we are and why we founded the brand.

Q:  If you could offer advice to yourself one year ago regarding your entrepreneurial journey, what would it be?

Start now, don’t wait and delegate early!
